Pin windows photo viewer to taskbar...problem

Okay. I followed the directions here:

**tutorial removed**

I made the shortcut and followed all the steps. However, when I click on the pinned photo viewer I made, it opened a duplicate window on the right side. You can see it in the photo i attached.

I have had this pinned leading to duplicate window problem with other programs. Jdownloader and a couple others did the same thing. I found a tutorial on how to pin Jdownloader without a duplicate and it worked. The target path of the Jdownloader shortcut when it worked was in the program files (x86) while this is C windows/system32. So I'm pretty sure this all due to my computer being 64 bit.

It would be great if there was a way to solve this. Thanks in advance. (:

Hello Drdb, and welcome to Seven Forums.

This a normal for this type of shortcut. As far as I know, there is not another way to create a Windows Photo Viewer shortcut without it doing this since there is not a exe file to create the shortcut from.

Ahh okay. Is there any other possible way to get it pinned to the taskbar without a duplicate?
