Huh? Where do you get the idea of "10 licensed copies"?

As for "rules and regulations", I assume you're referring to the TechNet license: TechNet Plus Subscriptions License Terms

My reading of it is that one licensed user gets to install as many copies as they like on equipment they use/own. For the duration of that license (ie only while they subscribe to TechNet).

Thus, I would decide its not legal. But hey, feel free to decide otherwise, just dont blame the naysayers when you get caught.

Sure, other beta programs may operate differently. But TechNet is providing full non-beta versions of MS software too.
Becuase you are only able to generate 10 keys for most programs

Interesting - I've not seen that mentioned anywhere on the TechNet site. I would imagine that's technically against their own license agreement, but you'd have a hard time arguing that you needed more than that as a single licensed user.

Few weeks ago when someone leaked the free TechNet subscription sign up, along with many people I signed up for it also and it would only let you get 10 keys per software. (Note all those free accounts have been blocked I don't know about all those keys been blacklisted yet ot not)

All Online AccessAccess to all TechNet Plus resources via the members-only TechNet Plus benefits portal for an individual user. Does not include DVD shipments.

    • Full-version evaluation software without time limits
    • Beta software releases
    • Technical Information Library
    • Professional Support Incidents
    • Managed newsgroups
    • Online concierge Chat
    • Technical training resources and Microsoft E-Learning Courses
They allow you to generate 10 licenses keys so you can evaluate the software as if it was fully licensed.

Best way to figure out what the technet entitles one to, is to email support and ask them directly.

Somehow, I bet no one cares to do so because they already know the answer.

You can generate 10 keys with 10 re-installs each per; they do not expire when your sub does.

One sub licensed to one person.

And no, I'm not affiliated with TechNet.

Am I to understand this correctly. Actually TECHNET then allows a small company.

One sub licensed to one person.
    or 100 installs.
That means if I own TTT Spec CO. and have the license in MY NAME. the owner of I can then setup to 100 computers.

Now that makes more sense to me , as a small business owner, the TECHNET sub might be what I'm looking for.

PS: I actually am the owner of "TTT Spec Co".

EDIT: I meant to write re-installs; sorry.

...."For evaluation purposes" and not for "Production" or "Live Environments".

Small companies need to direct themselves to the Volume License options.

So no, you're not understanding correctly.
