USB is not recognized when UAC is on?

Hi, I decided to get rid of antivirus and just turn User Account Control on (I had it off)
but the problem is when I turn this on, the computer cannot recognize any usb. Nothing shows up on disk management either. And when I turn it back off it works again.

    What's the problem here?

    Thanks You,

Oh, I used nod32 and it's keep blocking everything and I couldn't figure out how to set it up so it doesn't block everything I do (it blocks even though I turned off everything)
And correct me If I'm wrong but I heard if you just turn UAC on it's safe enough not to use an antivirus

That's not at all true!! I keep UAC on medium and I have Avira Premium Security Suite.

You need an Anti-virus program... use Windows Security Essentials (it's free) https://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...2-33d813687a7f

Use Windows 7 firewall, they work good together.

Now tell us what USB device is not being recognized by your computer? We can talk you through this

I have a feeling when you posted about this error 0xc0000076, you clearly have/had malware on your computer.

    Thanks You,
Hi tozymba, - I came to Win 7 (x64) directly from XP and skipped the Vista stage totally. I did play with Vista once, before getting Win 7 and I was "HORRIFIED" by the UAC.

As soon as I got my Win 7 I turned the UAC off altogether and have never regretted doing so. I realize there are many very Intelligent and Cleaver Win 7 users out there (on this forum) who would still recommend NOT to disable the UAC AND I fully respect their viewpoints, but having worked in the Computer Industry Full time as a designer and programmer for 40 years I don't need some "prompt" warning me about what to do or not. I have enough "horse sense" to make my own decisions and so far have had NO PROBLEMS with the UAC being off. I will never turn it on, but you will have to make your own decision there.
    Cheers
