    All users Application Data

I need to access the "Application Data" folder under "All Users" and have been unable to do so. Initially I was denied permission so I changed ownership of the folder but now instead of an "access denied" message, it simply opens the main "All Users" directory in a new window without entering the "Application Data" folder.

How do I get around this?

You've set this setting here yet?

Yep. As well as un-hiding protected OS files.

Application Data is not a real folder but a junction to allow legacy applications to interface with the Windows 7 folder structure.

    It points to C:\ProgramData

What are you trying to do?

Microsoft's Flight Simulator X stores one of its main .cfg files there and I need access to manually edit it.

Then the location you need will be found in C:\ProgramData

    Try looking in C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\FSX

Also All Users is a symbolic link to C:\ProgramData as well

You're welcome. If it is not there try

    C:\Users\(your user name)\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX

That is exactly where it is. For some reason, FSX copies an "dummy" file ot the original default .cfg file to the "Unsername/AppData/Roaming/FSX folder" that is not used at all by the application. The actual working file is the one in the folder you directed me to.
