    Win 7 SP1 slipstream DVD

    Please forgive my ignorance...

    I've just slipstreamed a SP1 DVD..

    I THINK:

How do I verify that I do have a properly updated DVD, without installing..

Yes, it boots, but I'm not ready toooooooo reinstall...

Is there some file or signature on the DVD to indicate what I really have ??

Hello Rojoloho, and welcome to Seven Forums.

As a test to help be sure it has SP1 integrated in it without actually installing the Slipstream Windows 7 DVD that you created, you could run the free RT Seven Lite program in the tutorial below, but only up to doing step 4 to select your slipstream DVD. When you do only step 7 next, look in the information area of the progam as below to see if you have Service Pack 1 listed with the same version number at step 9. If you do, then you have SP1 slipstreamed in the DVD. You can then just close RT Seven Lite to stop it.

Slipstream Windows 7 SP1 into a Installation DVD or ISO File

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

You could always boot the .iso up in a virtual machine and install it. I test all of my discs this way.
