    Hotkey for cancelling shutdown?

I have a tendency with my laptops to hit the "shut down" button when trying to get to "sleep" in Windows 7. I run both the 32 & 64 bit home versions and am wondering if there's a macro or hotkey to cancel the shutdown when hit accidentally.

    Thanks.

Hello Rex, and welcome to Seven Forums.

You could use the Abort shortcut below to stop it, but you would have to be pretty quick to click on it before you started shutting down to stop it.

As a workaround, you could also set the Start Menu power button to be Sleep to use, or use a Sleep shortcut.

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn
