disabled CPU parking? ever heard of this?

    Hello all,
Has anyone heard of / tried this?

How To Speed Up Windows: Disable CPU Core Parking « Everything IT with Craig Chamberlin

I changed mine from 64 to 0, rebooted and I see no difference.
viewing the resource monitor, I notice no changes either.

No, I've never heard it called that, but......

I'm currently using an i7-875k (hyper-threaded) CPU and it shows that 4 of the processing cores are parked. The cores are parked due to EIST being enabled. I, of course want the the cores parked to save power. Upon doing video editing, all 8 cores spring into action and the "parked" status goes away.

Disabling the parking on your laptop, would cause the laptop to use more power.
I suspect that the tutorial is for people that don't have the ability to disable EIST
    in the BIOS.
