Boot Files

Are there any files that can easily be deleted in the Win7 OS that will cause the system not to boot. I seem to remember a file in WinVista that could be deleted while you were logged in. Bootmgr.ini or Boot.ini, maybe? Can't remember what the file was, but you could delete it, system would not boot, but you can do a repair with the disc, and the system would boot again.

Is there anything in Win7 that I can delete while logged into the system that will create the same issue?

What legitimate reason would three be to do this?

To temporarily disable the system from being used, but easily repaired at the time of my choosing. As far as legitimacy, anything I wish to do to a system that I own is legitimate.

Problem solved. Found a way to take ownership of protected system files, which allows editing of files that is usually denied, even when logged in with an admin account.
