Want my Windows 7 Starter back.... PLEASE HELP!!!!

Okay, so I'm sure people here have heard of Jolicloud... If not it's... I would say a wonderful operating system, because it let me do everything i wanted to do that windows wouldn't let me do... BUT! Just recently i have decided i want my Windows 7 Starter back... Now I have posted a thread on Jolicloud's forums asking how to do so.. But it has now been over a day and a half and I'm getting a little worried they won'y reply... So i have resorted to asking help on how to get my Windows 7 Starter back... A little info on my netbook... ORIGINALLY had Windows 7 Starter, it's a 32 bit. or was? idk what it means... The type of netbook is an Acer One Aspire 532h-2780... no dvd drive so i would need a iso file and write it to a usb stick which i have (4gb) I also have another computer which i could use if i needed, it's a Windows XP Home Edition, i don't think any other info about it would be needed if so just ask.. Please help me get my Windows back... And trust me... If u ever get another operating system.... DUAL BOOT!!!! I highly regret not doing so...

Hello chrisneedsHELP, welcome to Seven Forums!

Does the netbook have a factory recovery partition or did you delete/remove it to install that other, whatever it is, OS?

Thank you :) and sadly no... While installing the new OS, it forced me to wipe the hard drive... All partitions were deleted... I believe it used to have a recovery partition though... would it be possible to restore or recover it? or somehow get e new one?

Have a thorough look through this information below and be sure to post back with any further questions you may have and to keep us informed.

USB Windows 7 Installation Key Drive - Create

After you have copied out or made back-ups of the data you need to save to external media; if you can find an exact Windows version installation media that the PC shipped with you can do a clean install using the activation key on the COA sticker attached to the PC though it may require a robo-call to MS to sort the OEM batch-key.

If you can't find an exact same version, you could use the info in this tutorial to create an "all versions" installer of any version Windows installer, to install using the same method I posted above.

After you have made backups of everything you care to save, the best method is to do a complete wipe (secure erase) of the entire Hard Disk Drive first, it over-writes everything, all the old Windows code including all the old drivers/programs, giving you the best possible space to install Windows to.

I have never heard of Jolicloud but you have caught my attention. What can you do with it that you can't with Windows 7?

First big problem... It's a netbook and it came with Windows 7 Starter already installed onto it... It didn't come with a disk or anything and i have no way of getting an original iso off of my netbook seeing as it no longer has any version of windows of it nor the recover partition...

And you should google it brotherboard, I like it, except I'm not sure if i will ever use it again or not... Seeing as Windows may be ab;e to get virus's... It's much easier when you want to do stuff you've been doing for years... Maybe if i had been born into everyone using Jolicloud instead of Windows I would keep it... But instead it's the opposite... Oh well, I like both so I'm content with Windows

You wiped the hard drive when you installed the new Jolicloud OS. There's no getting back what was on there. You'll need to order a Windows 7 Starter recovery disk to reinstall it. Call your netbook manufacturer to get one. Or, you can buy a full OEM or retail disc somewhere.

You don't know anywhere you could get a Windows Starter from, or any version that you could use this tutorial to create an "all versions" installer; forum rules don't allow the posting of download links.

would forum rules allow you to email me saying, you "don't" know where to download any?
