Windows 7 - can't format the hard drive

| | can't format the hard drive installing build 7264. mounted the ISO in magic disk and did custom installation. the only options is load driver and i see the partition but i can't format it. what to do? |

It might be easier if you burned the iso (not the seperate files) to dvd, then install fro there. Ken |

| | I think you are going to have to burn it to a DVD using some sort of ISO burning software (I suggest Active ISO). Mounting it may not work the way you want it to. |

| | im mounting it from another partition, i have 3 in general. it worked with previous build i dont see a reason it won't work with this build. i don't have an available blank cd right now. |

| | When you say 'mounting' are you extracting the files to the HD? If you mount anything then it creates a virtual environment using memory resouces and apps on your main HD. You will never be able to format a main partition if 'mounted' in this way. |

| | It seems the installer is seeing a reason not to allow formatting of that partition. Perhaps it's a system or primary partition? . . . . . just taking a guess here. |
