    Can't Copy Files To HDD

Hey guys, I own a WD Passport (320GB). I'm having problems in copying files from my PC to the HDD. It was working fine a few days ago but I can't seem to copy any file though I can easily read the files stored at a very high speed. But the problem is probably with my computer since I can copy files from my laptop without an itch. So guys could suggest what's going on? How to fix it?

P.S. I use Windows 7 32-bit on both PC and laptop.

No, not really. In fact, the dialog box is stuck at "Discovering files..." caption.

You can read but not wright to the drive, there are a few reasons why this can happen.
    Look at your privaliges.
Have any errors been encountered on this drive?
Is this a USB or ethernet drive?
What have you been doing with your main computer (installing / uninstalling software) since this happened?

I've full permissions to the device, since I'm the administrator. It's a USB device which works fine to other systems.

I've been doing a lot of things so I can't really be specific. Perhaps you could tell me few consequence that could possibly effect the performance of this device?

Command line interface. Aka command prompt. Would be interesting if you can write to the external HD that way.
Something else I was thinking about - do you have any software installed that acts like Time Capsule for Mac, i.e. one that constantly monitors your files for changes?
I'd also try to disconnect your puter from the Internet and deactivate any antivirus software and then give it another try.

Now that we know it is a usb device that makes things alot easier.
Have you looked in your event viewer to find if there are any errors?

Hey ah, I found something under the "nfts" label which I'm pretty sure about my issue. Anyway, it says that "The system failed to flush data to the transaction log. Corruption may occur." <- Ah please no, my sweet hard-disk is not made for such behavior.
