    File Details in finder window.

    Hey guys ,
I messed around with the file settings , and now when i click a file i can no longer see the details of that file at the bottom of the screen.

For instance it would show date modified , file type , and so on .

    Any ideas? Cheers!

Hi and welcome to the Forum. I.m guessing that what you mean is with Windows Explorer open when you click on a file the details pane is missing. If so Click on "View" then "Choose Details" and check the appropriate boxes.

Yeah the ones i wanted are checked , here is another example if you highlight a drive , in the finder window , usually a grey bar comes across the bottom of the finder window , showing you the free space? Or am i just tripping ? lol!

Have you tried resetting the folders?

Explorer > Organize > Folder and Search options and in the View tab click Reset Folders

    File Details in finder window.-folder-search-options-view-.png

Highlighting a folder gives me this:

    File Details in finder window.-capture95.png

And a file gives me this:

Highlighting a drive gives the same detail as a folder above. No free space detail.

Hi Jeff Now it seems as if I have problem!
I'm using the Windows 7 Aero Theme. Will try another couple of themes to see what happens. Never bothered with the Disk detail before!
