Task Scheduler error

I need your advice I am getting this error when I open Task Scheduler
"the selected task 0 no longer exists"
Task Scheduler error-task-scheduler1.png
Then this
Task Scheduler error-task-scheduler.png
Then the 1st one again
after doing some googling I found this, should I go ahead and try this or do you have any other ideas.

Quote:
1. Open the Task Scheduler Library.
2. Open Microsoft
3. Open Windows
4. Click on every folder until you get the error code.
5. Open up C:\Windows\System32\Tasks\Microsoft\Windows\
6. Click on the folder that gave the error in the Task Scheduler
7. Delete what is INSIDE the folder....NOT the folder its self.
Thanks Jerry

Looks like the right solution, you might lose a task or two, but it's probably a sacrifice worth doing.

I guess you should try that methods.
If your Windows 7 is 64 bit, you may want to look also in this folder
Code:
C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Tasks\Microsoft\Windows

Sure, back up the folder and try that suggestion. Worst case, you put the folder back and start somewhere else.

Are these successive messages with no allowance for interaction in between? Does the scheduler ever display?

I have never scheduled any tests so some of them must be from Microsoft itself.

After the error messages task scheduler will open up with no trouble.
