Is RC good enough for now I am running vista right now and i need to format. I am going to run windows 7 for a few weeks until the RTM comes out. I have 7100 on hand and i wanted to find out if this one is good enough to run for now. If the newer builds are much better what one would you recommend for x64. Thanks. | My System Specs |

I just upgraded from 7100(two months) to 7264. Things are much smoother and faster. 7100 felt like a hog when I was dealing with Explorer and my network destinations. | My System Specs | | |

I had problems installing software for my HP scanner on 7100. I am currently running 7232 which has been rock-solid stable and zero problems with software. | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 Home Premium x64 CPU Intel Core2 Quad Q6600 Motherboard Gigabyte GA-P35-DS4 rev. 2.0 Memory 8GB G.SKILL DDR2 800 Graphics Card VisionTek Radeon HD 4870 Sound Card Onboard RealTek Monitor(s) Displays Dell SP2208WFP Screen Resolution 1680 x 1050 Keyboard Logitech Access Mouse Logitech G5 Hard Drives Two WD Caviar SE16 250GB SATA 2 in RAID0. Beside Explorer being a little slow, I had ZERO software and drivers problems with 7100 RC. I have had no problems with 7100 at all. Well, a few, but nothing major. Everything will probably be fixed with the RTM. It is only a little ways away, so I have decided to wait instead of installing every new build.

LOL this is kinda funny. What if it isn't? We get what we get were lucky to have anything over 7100 honestly. Im running 7232 x64 and its been fine (a few little things) but its rock solid and fast so far.
I think you should go with the newest x86 or x64 and ride it out. Not only do you get valuable windows 7 training (learning how to do things) there is no real woryy of messing it up as in a few month your going to reinstall the real OS and you will already be ready for it with drivers, programs and how-to's! | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 7264 CPU AMD Phenon X4955 Black Edition 3.2 Quad Core Motherboard ASUS M4A79T Deluxe AM3 DDR3 AMD 790FX ATX AMD Motherboard Memory 8GB CORSAIR XMS3 DHX 4GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 Graphics Card SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 4890 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Exp 2.0 16x Sound Card Onboard Asus Monitor(s) Displays Hanns G 28" Widscreen Baby! Good advice. That would be the best course in this case. You already have the RC, so if you are as lazy as I am, you can just say that works and install it. If you are willing to do some actual work, go ahead and find the latest build and use that.

I'd say go with 7260. it's better than 7100, and doesn't have all the B/S that 7264 takes to get "Genuine". read around the forum, there's a lot of varied opinions of which is better. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number eMachines W3502 OS Windows 7 Ultimate x32 CPU Intel Celeron D 3.2 Ghz 533 fsb (LGA 775) Motherboard Intel D101GGC Memory 1 GB (2x512MB) PC-3200 DDR @ 200Mhz Graphics Card Nvidia GeForce 9400GT- 1GB Sound Card Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreame Gamer Monitor(s) Displays 19" LCD HDtv Screen Resolution 1360x768 @ 60Htz Keyboard Stock. I am much happier with 7232 x64 than I was with 7100. The network discovery is much improved, as is driver compatibility, and it is faster.
