Browsing/Navigation of Windows Explorer

HI-

Not sure of this is an issue with Photoshop or Windows or both - or, most likely, an issue with me.

When doing graphics work and needing to browse between different folders to "Save" and or reopen files, I often need to re-navigate each time to a desired folder.

When opening a file, there is a "Favorites" tree available, great.

But when "Saving As" there is no way to return quickly and repeatedly to a specific folder.

Thankfully the "Recently Used" shortcut option has been added to Windows 7 but has become over populated with folders that I really don't use much.

Is there a way to permanently set folders in "Recently Used" and get rid of others that I do not want?

Or is there a way to establish a default folder/folders that will open each time to avoid having to re-navigate between folders?

Hope this is clear and not completely ignorant.

Thanks for any help.
