I believe your information is wrong. GA is October 22nd.

Confirmed: Windows 7 set to RTM on July 13

@ angelwolf71885, S***load of spelling errors in that chunk of text, and i agree about there not being a massive random change in RTM.

Aero Diamond is ugly. The only thing good about it is the redesigned Minimize/Maximize button.

RTM is Released to Manufacturing. July 13 is when it's expected to be "signed off" and then actually "released to manufacturing." At the same time, it will also start going places like OEM's so they can start getting their own "manufacturing" together.

After it's sent off to be manufactured on discs, etc., it eventually becomes available to the public. October 22 is that date. That's GA, also known as General Availability.

"RTM" is NOT October 22. It will have already been "manufactured" by then, so it no longer requires release to manufacturing.

And I would not anticipate any changes to RTM on July 13(ish). They are at the phase of bug removal confirmation and final minor tweaks. Though they might continue to work on security of UAC or something comparable, they mainly need to confirm that what goes out the door is adequately functional. Any huge visual changes or something they can release via add-ons, etc. later, and they'd be foolish to do anything dramatic and untested now.

there will no be any changes from the last oficial build... like Release Candidate...

Microsoft is not fool and don't want to waste new UI changes and other stuff just for now...

In the future maybe or only in the Windows 8 design

by the way... is this the "Aero Diamond" that you guys are talking about?

I'm inclined to agree but MS marketing did say they were keeping back one or two surprises for the final version.

However that was claimed before 7000 was released and who knows what could have changed since then.
