In this case I honestly recommend buying a stick or two of RAM, putting it in there and running Memtest86+ again. That's all you can do. If there's no more errors then it was the RAM and you can throw out the sticks. If it still gets errors we'll work from there.

Having the same problem and IMHO it is my RAM. Win 7 blue screens. But first other things happen. Like browsers failing to connect to a new page. Then BSOD.

Yes, actually more. Nothing but errors from 4GBs up. Stopped the test after the first screen of errors scrolled by. No need to go any further.

I ran this same test a week to a week and a half ago and NO errors. Then I left my PC on over night on Thursday, I think, and when I got up in the morning things were screwy.
Took the whole PC apart, reseated everything and it has just gotten worse over the last 2 days. This was on a new build I did about 3 weeks ago. So bad I took the system out of service until the new RAM I ordered on Saturday shows up.

Sorry what do you mean by that, It not my DIMM.
It most certainly is your Dual In-line Memory Module (DIMM). That is what MemTest Tests.
I personally have never had MemTest return errors with any other problems in/on the system.

But, the DIMM is.. the sockets aye? And memtest is testing your RAM.

Okay, strange. Or is it? I just came my "working" RAM into the black DIMM instead of the yellow one. And now, It's giving me just 1, 2 in each passes. So maybe the RAM didn't match the yellow one, or maybe the yellow one is defect. So is it more likely that it is my RAM now? I mean it's still giving me errors as well.

No. DIMM is Dual In-Line Memory Module, IE the memory itself. What it fits into is called either the Memory Socket or Slot.

I won't know about my system for a few days. I really am hoping it is the memory and not my motherboard or CPU.
Never heard of memory slots going bad. Maybe if someone was to remove and replace memory on a regular basis it could wear out the slots. But how many people do that and how many that do that wear them out.

Will post back when I have the new memory and test the system.
