I keep getting an email saying im subscribed to thread

I get an email every hour saying someone has replied to a thread i posted in. I tried turning it off by going to User CP > Edit Options > Default Thread Subscription Mode > and then i tried each one and none of them work for turning off the emails. Right now it's set to No Email Notification.

Is there anything else i should change? It's probably something right out in the open that i missed.

    Thanks! (+rep for the answer)

Just go to the user cp and the first page you see should have the threads there and there is a clickable link that says 'unsubscribe'. That should take care of the ones that you're already subscribed to

Edit: or you could also go to user cp and the default page should show threads. Then go to the bottom of the threads and click 'view all subscribed threads' then on the next page next to the thrad on the right there will be a check box. Check the ones you don't want and then at the drop down menu on the bottom right choose either 'delete subscription' or 'no email notification'

    Hello Jess,

When you get the email, check towards the bottom of that message for a Unsubscribe to this...... link. Clicking on it should also stop the email noitfications from that thread. :)

    Yeah i think it's solved.

By default it automatically subscribes you to a thread and sends you and email. Well when i posted in the thread this is the option that was chosen, so i guess this is the option that the subscription will go by until i unsubscribe. I know it works now because i did not receive an email about this thread:).

    Thanks for the responses.

Just a heads up, you can have it set to automatically subscribe to threads you post in, and Not have it send email. Threads you post in would then just be listed in your user cp / subscribed threads.

If you want to get NO EMAILS for ANY threads, just go into your User Control Panel (CP) and on the left, click on Edit Options. Scroll down a little and there is a Default Thread Subscription Mode box. In it, you can select from the drop down menu what you want. Mine is set to No Email because I visit the site everyday, and if I didn't I would be getting literally about 25- 30 emails a day about it.
