I did say that an extended partition uses up one of the primary (as in, 4 primary and the extended takes up a primary).

Anyways; I had based all that stuff I said off stuff I had read awhile ago.
I thought I had mentioned about how an extended partition offers multiple logical partitions inside it though (I was just saying GPT is the only way for more than 4 primary partitions). Something like that.
