"PasswordFox" error window at startup?

Hello.. i've got a problem, im using Windows7 32 , and recently when i start my PC, when windows starts it shows this window:

This small blank window with "PasswordFox" title on it.

and after that when i try to open something on desktop or right click it the Explorer is doing like a refresh for itself and then opens this window:

its in hebrew but never mind..

Anyway, when i log into Windows throw diffrent user, this error window dosent appers there.

I dont have a clue from where this came from, i havent downloaded any program that is called like that.

I've searched google and understood its a program for Firefox, (and im not even using firefox).

Anyway, tried Chkdsk, Eset Nod32 scan, Malewarebytes scan, Registery first aid scan, Nothing seems to help.

Please help.. !

Hi,

The first thing you need to do is download MalwareBytes and performa a full system scan and see what results it produces.

If you don't know what the file is then it could be an infection and the scan would be the best course of action.

Have a look here;

PasswordFox - Reveal the user names/passwords stored in Firefox

You need to uninstall/remove that program. Some antivirus programs flag it, but they are false positives. Nevertheless, some will halt execution until you react.

Have you downloaded the utility suite from Nirsoft, or WSCC ?

Sorry, I don't know the exact cause. But this only happens when the Nirsoft program is on the machine.

Some of his other stuff like "MailPassView" will also cause problems like this. They are harmless ( When Original!!!!), but they are flagged by a lot of stuff as viruses etc.

OK. One problem at a time!

What are you clicking exactly? Bear in mind that Explorer will load icons and other stuff when it first starts after a new boot, and this can take a little while.

"Explorer" is not just the file manager program, it is the default windows shell, and depending on various settings it behaves in various ways.

Yes, that's one way to do it! Make sure you delete the old stuff once you are sure everything is working.
