    creating factory default disc wont open


    hi all im new here i hope i could get an answer to my problem
    i have an Acer Aspire X1900 ..windows 7 32 bit and and wanted to burn the recovery disc from my computer but whenever i click on the create factory default disc ...it just wont open .... then called for help and asked what would i do if ill reformat my pc but don't have recovery disc and the one on my pc itself not loading....they told me to press alt+f10 upon rebooting but it didn't take me to recovery window as what i have seen on one on the youtube video the guy pressed alt+f10 but its not the same shown on mine huhuhu pls help

    It sounds as if your recovery partition is missing. Have you used any programs to format discs?

    thank you for replying....hello mike i just bought my pc last dec 2010 and havent done formatting and ddnt use any ..i have learned that new pc doesnt come with a recovery disc unlike before and that we have to back up the one in the pc...so i did try to do so...i open acer recovery management and seen lots of option on what i want to do ...tried to do CREATE FACTORY DEFAULT DISC or anything on that box it just wont open all it did was showing me a loading icon which was trying to show me that its preparing for the option i was choosing but it was there for so long i waited and its like an hour nothing happened ...is there any help for me huhuhu help on how i should reformat my pc without recovery disc they told me repeatedly hit ALT+F10 but its not showing the reformat option....

    You have full factory warranty with tech support for one year, so now is the time to shake out your Acer to get it running correctly or replaced, so that you know by one year's time you have what you need.

    In this case, if Factory Recovery will not run you want them to assist you in running full Factory Recovery to see if that restores the ability to create Recovery Disks, and if not they should send them to you. Acer will normally send them free within 90 days, however they should make an extension if they will not generate.

    Let us know how they respond so others can consider if they want to buy Acer.
