Archive software

Does Windows 7 come with anything as standard? If not is there a good online archive application as my wife is a control freak who doesn't like me to install anything? I need to archive BSOD dump files. 2 of them are over 11000 KB

You could download a copy of 7zip which is a free tool at 7-Zip | The Best Zip Compression Utility.

Hello Cloa,

Yes, Windows 7 as a built-in Zip feature that you could use. You would just need to right click on the file, cick on Send to, and click on Compressed (zipped) folder) to ZIP (archive) the file.

Hope this helps,
Shawn

explorer archive integration
In Windows XP & above, zip archive support is built into windows explorer. I was wondering if there is any way too add support for other archive types to windows...
