    Intermittent freezeups

Time to time when I am typing up something my typing would freeze and then would resume, after the missing characters show up.

I also noticed that when I am running WMP listening to an online streaming, fixed at 128kbps, the music would studder/pause and continue, it would also sound like scratching sometimes, very short pulses like something is causing PC to strain under a lot of workload but there isn't much happening. I also set the buffer at 10 seconds to avoid the problems if it was bandwidth related, but I don't think it is due to network. It happens at T1 and it also happens at home with 30mbps connection.

Time to time the processor would also report high usage on the monitor:

Any suggestions are appreciated. I have Norton 2011 installed, but the problem persists when it is disabled as well.

When your CPU usage goes up, what process is causing it?

I will monitor that. But overall it doesn't really feel like it is caused by CPU. What bothers me most is I would have the CPU meter on, and I would have to do something, I end up closing it, and then the freeze-up would occur, then I would have no way of knowing it because when I start it again is too late.

I also noticed that when bandwidth usage goes up it just stutters WMP even though it has at least 10 seconds of buffer. Could it be that processor cannot keep up with the bandwidth transfer and bottle necks the system? Or is there anyway I can put WMP as priority on network, just to make sure it gets priority bandwidth to test the theory?
