"Burn Folder" Disaster (not the usual "can't del" thing)

    Orion,

was burning data on a DVD-R
i used the "like flash disc" method formatting it
then went on deleting, moving & renaming image folders..
i think that was wrong to do..
    anyway
when i started the burn process it stopped responding after several minutes..
i had to force restart the machine to eject disc..
then i discovered a specific folder i put in the image is very big in size..
checked it and found the windows has created system files and folders in it
    AppData, Temp, Microsoft, ..etc
it couldnt be deleted the easy way
used Unlocker, could just delete few folders then the machine stops responding..
and this repeated useless several times..
used the Safe Mode With Command: RD /S.. it deleted the folder..
but after restart windows normally the folder is still there and keeps creating system stuff..
some programs started using this location to run, like Chrome..
i discovered i lost all my history and cookies and had to reinstall it and its still sticking to the Burn Folder's infected folder..
the folder is growing fast.. i have to to wipe it using command and reinstall Chrome again and again..
i need to burn discs too..

i apologize for being too long
    please help

    Hi blknd :)

Sounds like you have a big problem and In your case I would (if you don't have a full backup archive to reinstall your OS) perform a Repair Install

Instructions are in this Tutorial by Brink Windows Seven Forums Admin

    ciara
    thanks for your concern
over-installing or repairing windows wont change the fact that system is using the folder a part of its brain now...
guess what i need is some registry hacks..
i have full back up but i want to fix the system..

It might not be impossible to fix, but it is certainly extremely difficult, and liable to prove very time consuming.

Once you have accidentally redirected virtual folders and all permissions etc etc, then you are invariably in trouble.

    I can't see any alternative to a re-install.
