    Shawn,

I would like to do a repair install but I have accidentally deleted my copy of the windows 7 installer. Would upgrading my build do the same as a repair install and fix this issue ?
Theoretically, yes and no. An upgrade would add the files needed, and change the current files to be that of the build that is being upgraded to.

It might change the task manager file(s) but it could be a long shot. Doesn't hurt to try though.

    Hello Johanster,

If that is the case.. Could I do the repair install after the upgrade, because as I've said in my previous post I accidentally deleted my copy of the Windows 7 installer. But I'm not sure if this would work.. Any ideas ?

    Edrik,

Doing a upgrade install with a newer build number should work as well since a repair install is just doing a upgrade install with the same build number as the currently installed build instead. :)
