    Help: recovering file

i deleted my desktop icon in my personal file. now everytime when i open my download file, it will pop out a msg box stated that c.\User\User\Downloads\Desktop refers to a location that is unavailable. It could be on a hard drive on this computer, or on a network.Check to make sure that the disk is properly inserted, or that you are connected to the Internet or your network, and then try again. If it still cannot located, the information might have moved to a different location.
    how can i solve this?

Hello Jess, and welcome to Seven Forums.

If you haven't already, double check your Recycle Bin to see if your Desktop folder may still be in it. If so, then you can just restore it from within the Recycle Bin.

If that is not an option, then open your C:\Users\(user-name) folder, and create a new folder named Desktop, then restart the computer to see if that may restore it.

If not, then you using OPTION TWO in the tutorial below to restore your Desktop folder should.

User Folders - Restore Default Location

    Hope this helps, :)
