    Unable to "Pin to Taskbar"

Just now setting up a new lappy (HP G62 - 64 bit). While trying to pin Thunderbird to the taskbar, nothing happens. I can pin Thunderbird to the Start menu. When I go to program files\Thunderbird and open the file and right click on Thunderbird application, the context menu shows "Unpin from Taskbar" and" Pin to Start Menu". When I right click on Thunderbird in the Start Menu I have options of "Open", "Run as administrator", "Remove from this list" and "Properties".

I have tried the Taskbar Locked and Unlocked and it is set to Never combine. Any clues?

If the options are not available in the context menu then something else is amiss. I don't know what, but I will have a think about it.

If this doesn't work do a search (upper right corner) for pin option missing!

You say you can't unpin the item from the taskbar, because the option "Unpin from Taskbar" leads me to believe that it was placed there upon installation. The item may have gotten deleted from the Taskbar. Have you tried dragging and dropping?
