How to undo wrong program choice in Open With?

When downloading a plugin for my browser (Maxthon2), I made a mistake when choosing a program to open the dl. When the "open with" dialog dropdown appeared, I chose the wrong program and also checked use this program for all like files. How can I undo this wrong choice? And, perhaps, you can tell me how to add programs to this dropdown?

    Hi flycaster and welcome back.

Have a look at the link below - might find your answer.

I would open Windows Explorer, find the files you want to open, right click and choose "Open with..." and choose the program you want to use, check the box "Always use this program" (or whatever verbage they use...doing this from memory.)

You can also open the start menu click all programs and use the default programs button located there to set only the one application association back to the way you want it. (associate a filetype or protocol with a program)
