    IT Pro Momentum program

Is anyone here a part of this? I just got my invite today, about a month after asking to join, and am just wondering how long it takes for them to activate your Technet account.

I'm not a part of it, but I take it this was the program that the free technet fiasco sub link was intended for?

No, that was actually a different program. This one is intended for IT Professionals who want to be early adopters. It comes with a free 1 year Technet subscription.

Would I be able to use this with a really small business? (under ten employees) On a tight budget? If I could get my boss to upgrade to seven, it would probably make my life easier. At least she is not using XP.

Yeah, the company that I am IT guy for only has like 7 paid staff, including me. I think this is mainly marketed at small businesses and non-profits, but don't quote me on that.

As for how to sign up, all I did was send an email to itpromfb at microsoft saying that I was interested, they sent me a survey to fill out, and then today, after about a month, I got an email saying that I would get an invite soon. A couple hours later, I had my invite.

Now I'm just waiting for my Technet account to get activated, which I guess takes 2-3 weeks.
