    Lock Workstation problems

    Hi,

I'm having some strange problems with Lock Workstation. Sometimes it works like it should, but sometimes it takes a long time to lock/unlock and the screen goes black for a bit. After I restart my computer the problem goes away, but it always comes back. This problem started within the last month or so, before then Lock Workstation always worked as it should.

I've tried to figure out what's causing the issue but haven't found anything yet. Google has only turned up this post on these forums, which wasn't very helpful to me. Can anyone here tell me what could cause this? It's driving me mad.

    Thanks for any help.

Normally with my experiences of Windows showing a blank screen for a while anywhere near login is when there are multiple users logged in.

There is only one user account on this computer, so that can't be it. Do you have any other ideas?

Yeah, I'm afraid the only other thing I can think of is system restore :/
Looks like you seem to have a unique mystery windows 7 problem, just like the person who had icons floating on the task bar (there was a large gap between the buttons and the bottom of the screen)

Is this problem only on the one PC or is this a domain issue. Have you checked out your Group policy
