Earlier version of windows in boot menu

How can I get rid of "Earlier version of Windows" from the boot menu? The Boot tab of MSCONFIG does not show this entry.

You can use EasyBCD to do it.

thats rather odd...I always download and use EasyBCD:Download EasyBCD 1.7.2 - NeoSmart Technologies it lets you modify the bootloader directly and delete add entries to your choosing....its for the vista bootloader but I honestly believe that there is no difference between the two.

EDIT:Lol Airbot it seems we had the same idea....

Huh I did a clean install and it didn't do it for me...another of those little bugs we hope that will be ironed out in the RTM and I assume that your using a non-messed-with copy of 7264 right?

"Earlier version of windows" has appeared after EVERY install of 7, for me anyway.
now i have this odd problem. i have XP and 7 on different drives (not partitioned, separate HDDs). 7 loads itself by default with no option to boot XP, if i use the boot manager from the bios to load up my XP drive, it shows the OS selection menu. which boots whichever i select. the only problem is that neither OS knows the other exists. i mean XP says there's no 7, and 7 says there's no XP in the boot.cfg.

confused yet? i am

How do I remove 'Earlier version of windows' from boot options?
Hello there I have two partitions, one 400GB one and another 40GB one. The 400GB is the main one, of course, with Windows 7 Home Premium installed on it, while I created the other one so I can install Windows XP. For some reason the XP installation failed no matter how many times I tried, and it...

System Restore won't restore to earlier version
System Restore seems to be a cranky one who refuses to go back to earlier iterations of my system. Since day one it has been like that, claiming that I have some anti virus opened, or some other issue which it does not list. I shut down the Microsoft anti virus and firewall programs and still...

Load mouse config earlier in boot??
I like to use my mouse on the left side even though I'm a rightie, so I have the primary buttons switched. Unfortunately, Win7 loads that config almost at the end of the boot up process, which of course is annoying if you're trying to click on a few things while the boot finishes (and not knowing...

Earlier Version of Windows - edit sub menu
I have a minimal installation of Windows XP here, since I had to install it before I could "upgrade" to Windows 7. In addition, I have partitions which contain an exact copy of my old Win2K and WinXP installations (using Paragon Hard Disk Manager). The OS Selections menu on boot up shows both...

Renaming "Earlier version of windows" in dual boot
How do you rename "Earlier version of Windows" in Boot.ini in Windows 7 with a dual boot setup? In msconfig>boot it only shows Windows 7 even though I have Win XP Pro on the C;partition. I just want to rename "Earlier Version of Windows" to Windows XP Pro.
