Solved Disable listing of folders, then files

In explorer windows is listing folders first, and then files. I would like to disable this, so that all my items are sorted by name, no matter if it's folder or file. Is this possible?

I don't believe it is, I'm sorry to say. As far as I've ever seen, Windows always seperates folders from files. Though perhaps someone else can chime in and say that it is.

Not in Windows Explorer or any replacement, like PowerDesk to Q-Disk either. Always separate the two.

Curious, why would you want to do this?

Thank you for your answers.
I would like to do this because in some of my folders, I have files and folders with the same name, so I would like them to be sorted next to each other, not in two different groups. But it's not so important, I can live with that:D

This sort of works, though there is no way to make it permanent that I can find.

Open Windows Explorer.
Enter * in the search box.
Click on View then Details or whatever view you want.
Click on the Name column to get things sorted, may have to do it twice to sort ascending.

Result looks like this for me:

SortAllName.jpg
