htaccess association to windows shell common

I changed the "open with" association of my htaccess to open with notepad... the file name (htaccess) suddenly disappeared.

How do I bring it back to the default? I think the dll file is windows shell common, but I can't find it in the "open with"

    Open any windows explorer window.
    Go to Organize
    Choose "Folder and search options"
Go to the tab page "Display" (second tab)
Uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types"

Your htaccess files should now re-appear.

    Hope this helped!
