    A) At least that's the message I got when I tried.
    B) I think that would be the best choice, really. It's brand new so I don't have any files to lose.

    There are also programs that will pull the Office key, like Magic Jellybean, but I would still check if you are allowed to use that license.

    You don't boot the OS. You boot from the DVD/CD.
