Can't Print

If I click on the print icon (upper right) it sends me to a “save as” window and will not allow me to print. I tried to print something out of Adobe Reader and if does the same ting. Any ideas????

Various questions:

  1. Which printer are you using?
  2. Where/which window are you printing from?
  3. Which software are you printing from?
  4. Has it just happened - were you able to print successfully previously?
If it has just happened and worked satisfactorily before, you could try System Restore to a date before it began to fail:

Sounds like either:
  • You have no printer installed
  • You default printer has changed to XPS doc writer or office doc writer

Go to start > devices and printers and check what is installed under printers? Also check which entry has the green tick. If you have a printer installed and it's not the default device, right click on it's picture and select set as default from the menu.

Thanks all. I got it going. For some reason when I upgraded from Vista to Windows 7 the printer drivers needed to be reinstalled. Once I did that it works fine.
