    Reduce/Compress PDF Size

I guess gmail won't allow 5 mb attachment.

How do I make this smaller? I already compressed it.

How was the PDF created? Did you scan something into a PDF?

Here's a possible solution for the time being...

For compressing files,I'll suggest to use 7Zip.

FliGi7, that site also has a 5MB upload limit 7-Zip is the way to go though Windows 7 does have it's own built in zip/unzip software. I believe you access it via the Send to option of the right click Context menu in Widows Explorer.

Typically speaking a PDF is already compressed.

If you have Adobe Acrobat (7+ full) installed look for the built-in PDF Optimiser, or another get-around using AA is to print the PDF document to a PDF file...

    Tutorial

Used these a couple of time for GMail.

What is the current size of the PDF? Such files do not normally compress very well so if the current size is much over 5 MB you may need to explore other alternatives.

Hi, yep unfortunatelly windows does not bring as many command line tools to deal with PDFs like other OS (eg. Linux). But you can also use some online services which are doing nice acrobatics to shrink your PDFs.. A good one is for example: Compress PDF - A Service by DjVu-PDF.com
