    Big Problem With Windows 7,please help!!!!!!


    i have windows 7 build 7068 x86 in my pc and i have a big and crazy problem!!!when i shutting down my pc close all monitor,hhds,all but the power is on and working cpu fan and power is on!!!I have the last bios f8f and i`m trying to put older bios(f7)but same problem!!!my parts of my pc is:motherboard Gigabyte ga-n650sli-ds4,cpu intel dual core 6600,graphics card geforce 8800gt 512mb,hdd(2-raid)seagate 250gb 7200rpm 16mb cache.if you know what is the problem to not shut down my pc please help anyone!!!!thanks

    It sounds like it might be going into sleep mode i take it you're using the native 'Shutdown' button.

    You could try looking at the power plan settings & checking the 'Choose what the power buttons do'. It's just a thought.

    the power button in power plan is "shut down" :S i check it in power plan :S the problem is crazy :S i check all and i dont find the problem :S

    check in the bios i have a gigabyte board and i feel like i remember being able to set it in there

    you can put it into suspend mode by just pressing it and to shut down it takes 4 seconds holding the button. says its for ms-dos but who knows maybe she works a little the same with win7

    That does sound very strange, i'll try & look into similar cases and see if they were resolved.

    im looking my bios but i dont find anything to change to fix this and shutting down my pc to press power button for 4 sec :S can you help my with my bios settings? :S

    It would depend on what BIOS your machine is using. There's normally an option for 'Power Management' but without seeing it i can't be 100% certain.

    my m/b is gigabyte ga-650sli-ds4 nad im using last bios f8f.the strange is before 2 days im using vista x86 home premium for along time i dont have this problem :S

    2-4 Power Management Setup

    ACPI Suspend Type
    S1(POS) Set ACPI suspend type to S1/POS(Power On Suspend). (Default value)

    S3(STR) Set ACPI suspend type to S3/STR(Suspend To RAM).

    Soft-Off by Power button
    Instant-Off Press power button then Power off instantly. (Default value)
    Delay 4 Sec. Press power button 4 seconds to Power off. Enter suspend if button is pressed
    less than 4 seconds.

    PME Event Wake Up
    Disabled Disable this function.
    Enabled Enable PME Event Wake up. (Default value)

    Modem Ring On
    An incoming call via modem can awake the system from any suspend state.

    Disabled Disable this function.
    Enabled Enable Modem Ring On function. (Default value)


    USB Resume from Suspend
    Disabled Disable this function. (Default value)

    Enabled Enable USB device wake up system from suspend mode.

    Power-On by Alarm
    You can enable the "Power-On by Alarm" item and key in Date/Time to power on system.
    Disabled Disable this function. (Default value)
    Enabled Enable alarm function to POWER ON system.
    If Power-On by Alarm is Enabled.
    Day of Month Alarm : Everyday, 1~31
    Time (hh: mm: ss) Alarm : (0~23) : (0~59) : (0~59)

    (Note) Supported on Vista operating system only.
