    Microsoft fax and scan

I have Windows 7 home premium, 64 bit, and understand windows has a fax and scan. I have tried to get it to show up, but cannot.

If I go to control panel it says it is there but I can't find it anywhere.

Has anyone any help for me?

    TIA

It should be listed in Start/All Programs. If not then it may have been turned off, Go to Control Panel/Programs and click 'Turn Windows Features On and Off' and make sure it is checked there.

You may have to reboot to get it to show up in the Start menu.

Then of course you will have to set it up. Having never used an external card I'm not sure how you go about that but I guess you'll figure it out.

In there is a setting which by default has incoming faxes turned off, at least that's how it was on mine, that is probably what needs changing.

Do you have a scanner, and/or a fax modem installed?

Windows Fax and Scan isn't included in all versions of Windows 7, so if you have Home Premium, that's why you don't have it.

I know this is true in regards to Windows Vista, but I couldn't find anything stated by Microsoft that Windows Fax & Scan isn't included in Home Premium Windows 7.

Since I have Windows 7 Professional, I can't confirm this myself.
