    How do I get my CD player to run automatically when I place a CD in it


    I want my computer to automatically play CDs/DVDs and run software CD installs when I put the CD/DVD in the drive... atm it seems I always have to manually locate and open the drive etc...

    is there a way to set my computer so the cd/dvd runs automatically?

    Type autorun into the start button search box and configure as you like it.

    Ah ok thank you... I had been there previously to select my preferences and thought that is all I had to do... haha I missed the box to select auto play for all devices.
