    Cannot open .EXE files

    Hi,
It may sound stupid but I really need help solving this problem. Accidentally I set Microsoft Media Center as a default program to open my exe files. Now I can't open any exe file. Can you help me to go back to the default type of opening the files because I don't know what program opens them.

The Old Captain gave you good advice and you will be up and running. But after you are, make a system restore point. Whenever you have a problem like this you can just go back using system restore. In fact, by default you should have a new restore point for every day. Merry Christmas

I cannot find the .exe extension in "Associate a file type or protocol with a program". As for the "Set you default programs" or "Open with...", I don't know what program opens .exe files. .

Type system restore in search. Then go back to a point prior to the problem, it will be fixed with no further problem.
