Edit: Pls navigate to <Windows 7 - general discussion> then click on <Windows 7 RTM delayed or activation and anti-crack problem>
They are delaying it citing something which is unavoidable. The product will be cracked within days of release ..

Any way, this is going to be one long wait ..

However, Sky is now running a variety of sources. My friends and so painful.

Aflyingboy did not provide a false credit, are subject to absolutely reliable information entrusted to the internal channels: the official told us: the real final version of RTM, there is no extension has been generated. However, the time to vent in the end, I have no idea now. Please do not spray, what do the men feel. At present, able to tell you that the RTM has been to generate the correct information had been difficult.

True and accurate final RTM generated code:

7600.16384.win7_rtm.090710-1945

WZOR by past habits, will be 12 hours or a few dozen hours after the prescribed inspection of the correctness of this message!

I wonder what the 16386 part means in the vista build string (rtm) and now its 16384 for win 7 ? Looks strange... and the chinese forum only recommends to wait for wzor to confirm or deny...

at least its nice that they tell to watch wzor...could be a trick or its real...hehe. IF only the pcbeta forum wouldn't make up so many fakes...then one could trust em...

From glancing elsewhere, it's apparently a build subset, and it looks like Vista had a 16384 at one point itself.

I'd expect it's a way for them to compile several "7600" (or whatever) builds in the very final final stages but still differentiate them beyond the final build number most are used to. That way any of the final subsets can get declared RTM as-is and without recompiling yet again.

ah ok sounds good. so maybe that build string is real...at least a faker would have just altered the current build strings which do not look anything like the final strings...

Yup, it's the way the final RTM would have something like it also did with Vista... but that particular build subset number did manifest with Vista during RTM as well for whatever reason. Suppose it could be a code for a particular machine that compiles it or something like that.

It would be so awesome to work there and be told to compile the final gold build of Windows 7 on your assigned desktop, The last guy to compile Vista probably thought he was making IT history and now he probably hides. LOL

little confirmation by ms china guy who posted 7271 string before wzor did:
http://bbs.pcbeta.com/thread-522318-1-1.html

RTM的build号不是7300,所有人都猜错了

build
-

具体多少不方便说,大家可以猜下. 比7300要大.

which means that rtm build number will NOT be 7300 and it wil be larger!

Why the HELL would Microsoft jump the build number a few hundred? OMG is they are going to 7600 why not just make it 7777 (to make it memorable...)
