Deleteing a file that won't delete

Hello all, I currently have 3 files that I want to delete, but won't delete. The file sizes are 0 bytes each, yet the icon still remains on my desktop. When I try to delete them, it gives me an error stating that the item was not found and is not in the location that it is in. It asks me to verify the location and try again, when try again is pressed, the same prompt appears. Is there anyway to remove these files from my desktop?

Try one of these -

Undeletable File - Delete

File - Delete from Command Prompt

Always try Unlocker if that doesn't work. Most likely does the same as above though.

Thanks for the info, I tried all three, and only Unlocker was able to work, thank you for the link and the help.
