    Say's it's a 64bit but it has x86 file?


    Hi you guys! I'm running a 64 bit version of windows 7 ultimate, although my system has the x86 folder?.. is it a true version of 64bit? I download and run 64 bit programs fine but is my machine truly 64bit?

    On a 64 bit install, you will have Program Files (These are x64)

    and Program Files (x86) These are for 32 bit programs that can run on you 64 bit computer.

    There are also some dual mode programs. These tend to be stored in the x86 folder and run in whichever mode you have installed.

Hi! I've just recently bought a PC with win7 64 bit on it. I had been using a 32bit Windows XP SP3 PC before this, and there have been a lot of softwares and utlities I've not been able to find for a 64 bit PC. I had been using a utility called Avafind for searching files and folders on my PC....
