    Switch back to default text selection mode


    I have this problem from time to time that selecting is switched to strange overwrite mode. how do i tell windows to use standard text selection?

    and how the heck is the change triggered?
    i currently face that problem in visual studio 2010 while testing a lot of code for my program.
    now out of the sudden whatever i type will overwrite everything after it.

    This normally happens when you hit the 'Insert' button on your keyboard.

    Its been around since the day I touched a keyboard lol

    It took me ages to figure out why i was overwriting everything

Text/file selection glitches
in General Discussion

When I hold my left mouse button and try to highlight text or select multiple programs it usually glitches out cancels and re-enables my highlight again. It is extremely annoying since when I want to select deselects the first part and selects the other one leaving my text/program half highlighted....
My new tab page got switched to a Conduit search page and I can't figure out how to switch back. Can anyone help me? I just want to get it back to the default Firefox New Tab page. Running Firefox 23. Thanks
