Dont activate yet.. You need real keys anyway. I never activate until the last moment. Why? Because I like to make sure the system is 100% up and running properly before I activate it.
If you do it early and than replace hardware or screw up something you have problems re-activating.
Any talk of unconventional activation is not permitted here. Not to mention all methods currently available will set a expiration date of 3-10-2010.
for me it is very simple, with the re-arm system, I can not use the RTM to the 22 October. But with frankenstein method, I got a working system that expire someday. But I got enough Time to get my legal serial, and reinstall my system, and got a working, legal activation.
The Watermark is no problem for me.
For the moment I'm a little disappointed, that is so hard to find a good way to buy the Windows 7 Home Premium E in English for the 49euro Price her from Luxembourg. The PC-Shop's will got it only in German or French. So I must buy it at Amazon/UK and there I must pay 49£ what is already more than 49euro, plus the delivery cost , but if I must pay 60euro a least per licence it is cheap enough that I will buy 3!!
From the changes in 7600, I do not think that there will be something new, but normally all critical bugs are fixed.
As I'm waiting for my 7600 download to complete within an hour, can this new build be used to update my current x64 build 7229 with all installed apps & games, or must/should I make a fresh install from scratch?
I take the next win7 install/update won't be "necessary" before the final version hits the shelves 22.Oct.2009? I guess 7600 will work until then.
is it worth updating from Vista SP2?
Not sure whether to clean install now, or wait to see if any other builds 'rear' their heads...
I just noticed when you tell windows update to search for all MS products, you don't get redirected to a webpage, but a menu opos up asking you if you want more updates.
