Jumping Windows When "C" Is Typed..

    Hello all,

I am using Internet Explorer 7 and am coming across a highly annoying issue.. I open up two separate internet windows bc I use one for work-related sites and one for personal sites. Whenever I type the letter "c", the screen will jump from where I currently am to another window and minimize both internet explorer windows (but not completely.. just makes them a step down from maximized). I have searched far and wide on settings, tools, properties, options, etc and can't seem to figure this out. but it is very bothersome and was hoping somebody with more knowledge could help me out.

    thanks in advance!
    :)

Are you currently running any Antivirus or malware detection programs?

not that i'm aware of.. it's not just the c, but that's the letter that it happens most frequently with. other letters cause other issues, but none as irritating. it seems to be some sort of terrible keyboard shortcut that does more harm than good..

I would strongly suggest running and Antivirus solution like Avira AntiVir Free. In the meantime, download, install, and run a scan with MalwareBytes:

Let us know what it finds.

That is very odd behavior. Having used IE7 in the past, I do not remember such an issue. Is there some issue that keeps you at IE7 and not IE8 or IE9? I do have a compatibility issue with IE9 that keeps me using the XP Mode of Windows 7 with IE8 in XP for full compatibility with certain web sites.

So, what is keeping you at IE7? I have also found that Chrome solves some of my compatibility issues and then yesterday I hit a web site that refused to function without true Microsoft IE6, IE7 or IE8. They would have taken FireFox 3.5 too, but not the new FireFox 4 I've used on my Android tablet.

    Bye.
