Notification Area icons invisible after BIOS reset?

So recently I had a devastating power loss event caused by a cat, and when I restarted, to my horror, it wasnt even recognizing my brand new Crucial C300 SSD. Long story short, luckily it isnt bricked, but I had to pull my CMOS battery before it recognized again.

So now everything seems to be working fine, except the notification area icons for what I can only assume are Network and Solve PC Issues are invisible and unclickable. Note that they are not simply missing, they do take up space between icons that are visible (Steam, MSE, Sound Settings), and the empty space glows on mouseover as if there was an icon there. Also Steam's icon was in the same state on startup but after I closed steam and opened it up again it returned.

Does anyone have any idea wtf is going on and how I can get those icons back?

Hello GrinningPariah, and welcome to Seven Forums.

You might see if resetting the Notification Area Icons cache may be able to help afterwards.

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

Awesome! That did it! I'm going to head over to the backup forum so when this fickle bitch eventually does betray me, it wont be such a catastrophe.
