| | Win 7 laptop keeps showing "preparing desktop" I have a windows 7 laptop, its a dell inspiron 1545, every now and then on boot up it displays "preparing desktop" and windows loads into a different looking desktop with only a few files and folders showing, only able to rectify this by restarting the system, but I was wondering if there is something I can do to prevent this from happening? |

| | Hello Angeleyes, Are you getting a user profile error before this happens? You might consider doing a system restore at boot using a restore point dated before this started happening to see if it may be able to fix this for you. Hope this helps, Shawn |
