Windows 7: where did snipping tool go

I have had Windows 7 Pro since September of 2010, had to re-install windows due to a drive by virus hit, re-installed in November 2010. Has worked great ever since for the most part. Have used the snipping tool many times. Now a couple of weeks ago it disapeard. I have looked in the two program files area one these folders has an X86 in the name, anyway I cannot find it anywhere.

I did install in March of 2011 a program called Printscreen program by American that I used for years in XP and was surprised to find that it worked in Windows 7 pro at least I thought it did then I discovered it would not work inside another program running in win 7 so i removed it via Programs and Features. A short time after that i found that the Snipping Tool is gone.

Does anyone know how I can get it back

Before we go ahead and assume it's actually gone;

Snipping Tool, like most built in Windows programs, is located at C:\Windows\system32 Not Program Files. The full path is:

C:\Windows\system32\SnippingTool.exe

Try pressing Windows+R (the key with the Windows symbol on it, usually 2nd one in on the left at the bottom of your keyboard) and pasting the above in, see if it loads.
