more details please.
what exactly are you trying to do?
Hello Juman,
What registry key (full path) are you trying to take ownership of? There are some that you should not mess with.
If you are logged in an administrator account, then you might see if doing step 3 in Option Two of METHOD TWO in the tutorial below to take ownership and "Allow" your user account "Full Control" of the key may be able to.
Take Ownership of file - Vista Forums
Hope this helps,
Shawn
EDIT:
I agree with MM - What are you doing and What Registry Key are you planning on Editing Permissions for?
Also What User account are you? Standard, Administrator or Built In?
Josh
What is the Registry Path that the App wants to edit?
Eg:
Code:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\SoftwareProtectionPlatform
That was an Example of a registry Directory
Do you know where you recieved this App? Do you have a Link?
Josh
Juman,
We need you to post the exact path of the registry key(s) (like the one above) for the key(s) you are wanting to access before we will be able to recommend anything.
